Is Cannabis legal?

In Massachusetts, yes! In November 2016, Massachusetts voters approved ballot question 4, legalizing recreational cannabis for individuals at least 21 years old.

Yes! By shopping with Altai, you are automatically enrolled into our rewards program. While there is not a mobile “wallet” to view rewards, our friendly Cashiers can give you point balances and apply rewards at the time of purchase.

Adults 21 years of age and older with a valid, government-issued ID can purchase one ounce of flower/pre-rolls, or five grams of concentrates, or 500mg of edibles. Recreational daily limits are a combination of cannabis. Please note that Altai may implement additional purchase limits from time to time based on product supply.

No, any adult 21 years of age and older with a valid, government-issued ID may make a purchase.

We need to see a valid driver’s license, passport, or a valid State/Federal Photo ID. We do not accept paper temporary driver’s licenses. We do accept out-of-state Driver’s Licenses as long as they are not expired.  For out-of-state customers we suggest bringing additional verification in with you (such as a bank card, social security card, credit card, etc.).

There is ample parking around the entire building at all of our locations.

You are permitted to travel with cannabis utilizing the guidelines below as long as you remain within mainland Massachusetts. Cannabis cannot be transported across state lines or across federal land or waters.

Monday-Wednesday: 10am to 8pm
Thursday-Saturday: 10am to 9pm
Sunday: 11am to 6pm

We accept Cash and Debit in the form of Cashless ATM. There is a standard $3.50 fee for using your card.

Debit cards are processed using Cashless ATM.  The Cashless ATM is a PIN based cash withdrawal that is used for products or services and transactions to go through the banking system just like a traditional ATM transaction. There is a $3.50 convenience fee to use this machine, which will reflect on your bank statement. There may be additional fees charged by your bank for using this method. There is a maximum withdrawal limit of $500 on this machine. *Check your individual bank’s maximum daily withdrawal limit* Orders totaling more than $500 will require more than one transaction, which will result in multiple fees. Additionally, any ATM withdrawal limits that have been placed on your account will be in effect.

Certain flower strains, edibles, tinctures, and concentrates can contain CBD. Look for products with “1:1” or “1:1:1” for products that can contain CBD. We also have non-THC, CBD products.

All sales are final. 

Defective cartridges may be exchanged within (7) days of in-store purchase. Exchanged products must be in original packaging with the product name and batch number fully legible. An exchange will be issued in the amount of the price paid or the remaining value of the item based on managers’ discretion. No exchanges are guaranteed. Empty cartridges will not be exchanged.

All sales on electronic devices are final. Defective devices must be returned or exchanged through the product manufacturer

In Massachusetts, you are subject to a 6.25% state sales tax, a 10.75% state excise tax and up to a 3% local tax for certain cities and towns. (20% total cannabis tax)

Walk-ins are welcome! Appointments are not necessary to shop at Altai Alternative. However, walk-in customers may be subject to a wait in our lobby in the case our sales floor is at capacity.
